A Zomato delivery boy was allegedly held captive and tortured by assailants over his Muslim identity in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The victim reported that while delivering an order on August 20 at Vineet Khand, Gomti Nagar, he was taken inside a room by four individuals who restrained him to a chair. They reportedly threw a glass of alcohol at him, attacked him with a helmet, and threatened his life. The assault lasted for approximately 1.5 hours. The was registered on August 21 and is under investigation.
