A mobile mechanic has died while working underneath a car in a shocking workplace incident.
A mobile mechanic died while working underneath a car in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs on Thursday.
WorkSafe Victoria confirmed the man’s death on Friday, saying he was working alone when the car rolled off a trolley jack and crushed the 75-year-old in Ferntree Gully.
WorkSafe Victoria is investigating the incident.
The death brought the state’s workplace fatality toll to 14 for the year to date.
