REITERATING that he would remain with NCP till his last breath, Ajit Pawar on Tuesday urged the party workers not to fall prey to ongoing rumours.
“For the past few days, there have been a lot of rumours doing rounds about me in newspapers and television channels. Without any reason, they are seeking to create an atmosphere of suspicion about me. But I would like to urge party workers not to fall prey to these rumours… I will remain with NCP till my last breath,” Pawar said while addressing party workers at an event in his hometown of Baramati.
At a press conference last week, Pawar had said that he would remain with NCP till his last breath. However, he remained evasive as to whether he would join hands with BJP with some MLAs as is being speculated among political circles.
“For the last few days, the discussion is only centered around me. I don’t know why they like Ajit Pawar so much…,” the NCP leader said.
“I deny this allegation. I keep decency. I have learnt such lessons from senior leader Sharad Pawar. He worked for ensuring a cultured state, something which he learnt from Yeshwantrao Chavan. We are carrying forward the legacy…,” Pawar said.
