It is widely known that Ph.D. degrees should be awarded only during a convocation ceremony, yet today’s event is misleadingly labeled as an award ceremony. This is unconstitutional, and we strongly condemn it.” The protest highlights ongoing tensions regarding academic protocols and governance in West Bengal’s educational institutions.
