Mumbai, March 6: This year, summer started a little early in many states across the country. The hot weather is becoming unbearable in India due to rising temperatures, and pollution. However, several states in the country might receive rainfall, giving much relief from the scorching heat. According to private weather forecast agency Skymet, parts of north and central India might receive rains in the next 24 hours. The agency has predicted that light rain with one or two moderate spells may occur over Western Himalayas and isolated snowfall is also possible over Western Himalayas and Sikkim during the next 24 hours. Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, as well as eastern Madhya Pradesh, might also witness rainfall. Light rains may be seen over parts of Tamil Nadu, the agency said. As per the weather agency, a western disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayas which is most likely to cause rain spells and snowfall. A north-south trough is running from Rajasthan to North Madhya Maharashtra. meanwhile, Gujarat and adjoining Rajasthan are likely to witness an induced Cyclonic Circulation in the lower levels.
