Watch: Ronaldo’s insane trick brings back Manchester United memories | Football News

Making his Al Nassr debut on Sunday, Cristiano Ronaldo was in vintage form as his side sealed a 1-0 win vs Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League, at the King Saud University Stadium. The Portugal captain failed to score a goal but a 31st-minute goal by Talisca proved to be enough for Al Nassr, who climbed to top of the table. The midfielder headed the winner in the 31st-minute after Abdulmajeed Al-Sulaiheem’s cross was too high for Ronaldo.

Receiving rave reviews for his bright display, Ronaldo will be hoping to score soon in the Arab country. Ronaldo joined Al Nassr for a sensational 2-1/2 year contract recently, estimated to be worth more than 200 million euros. He saw his Manchester United get terminated after a controversial interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan, where he criticised the club’s hierarchy and head coach Erik ten Hag.

One fan shared a video of an insane trick by Ronaldo during his Al Nassr debut, where he left the defender totally gobsmacked with an epic feint. It is worth noting that Ronaldo did that trick in his younger Manchester United days and also in the friendly between the club and Sporting CP, which led to his signing. Here is the video:

Reacting to the video, one fan wrote, “He Is definitely on another level.”

“My legend”, another replied.

Al Nassr are currently on top of the league table with 33 points from 14 games, ahead of Al Hilal, who have 32 points from 15 matches. The club’s fans had to wait three weeks after Ronaldo’s transfer announcement for his debut and it was held with much fanfare. Ronaldo had earlier scored a brace in a 5-4 defeat against PSG, where he represented a combined Saudi All-Star XI consisting of Al Nassr and Al Hilal players in an exhibition match.

Ronaldo had a disappointing World Cup last year, where Portugal crashed out of the quarter-finals and he also made appearances off the bench for that match and also the Round of 16 fixture. The striker just managed to score a goal during the group stage and was also part of his team during their final group defeat to South Korea.
