A warehouse fire in Darwin has destroyed more than $30 million worth of medical gear.
The fierce blaze saw plumes of thick black smoke fill the air in the suburb of Berrimah.
Firefighters used aerial gear to try and quell the flames from above, but warned it would take days to put out.
The fire broke out on Sunday morning, and dozens of firefighters were sent to help.
It has impacted supplies, such as gloves, for the Northern Territory’s major hospitals.
NT Health declared a code brown, which is an outside event that may affect hospitals.
They have enough supplies to last into the week, but said they might call on other states and territories for help.
Hospitals are operating as usual.
