The new upcoming SUV measures 4,551mm in length, which is 32mm longer than the current second-gen Tiguan, its also 5mm taller at 1,640mm, and has the same wheelbase measurement at 2,681mm.

The third-gen Volkswagen Tiguan is expected to come in a range of powertrain options depending on the market. The SUV is said to get a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid TSI petrol engine, a 2.0-litre TSI petrol mill and a TDI diesel motor, alongside two plug-in hybrid powertrains with a large 18.5kWh battery pack and an expected all-electric range of 100km.
