Renowned playback singer┬аUdit┬аNarayan┬аis in deep mourning. тАЬI couldnтАЩt sleep the whole night after hearing of┬аShravan┬аBhaiтАЩs death. It is so disturbing to hear of his death. He was like my own brother. We spent many evenings together chatting, and not just about music. And to think Shravan┬аBhaiтАЩs death could have been avoided!тАЭ
Please explain, I ask.┬аUdit┬аthen drops a bomb. тАЬIgnoring all attempts to dissuade him Shravan Bhai┬аwent to the┬аKumbh┬аMela. He also dragged his wife along. Except that, the┬аKumbh┬аMela should not be allowed at this time (of the pandemic).тАЭ
Udit┬аsays he is yet to take the vaccine. тАЬMy son (singer┬аAditya Narayan) and his wife also got the Covid. He has been urging me and my wife to get the vaccine. But I am afraid to step out of the house.тАЭ
Reminiscing about his association with┬аShravan,┬аUdit┬аsays, тАЬHe was a saint in human form. No vices, not a word of malice against anyone. I am quite like that. You will never hear┬аme badmouthing anyone or saying bad things about the film industry. Why should I? For 40 years it has given me fame and fortune.┬аShravan┬аBhai┬аwas one of the lasting relationships I made in the industry. Professionally we had a great bonding. I may have sung only one song in┬аAashiqui. But it was a┬аsuperhit. Subsequently I sang many beautiful songs for┬аNadeem-Shravan. According to me they were among the best composers of Hindi cinema. But it was my personal bonding with┬аShravan┬аBhai that was special.тАЭ
So who among the duo┬аNadeem┬аand┬аShravan┬аcomposed most of the songs?
Udit opens up, тАЬDekhiye, people think┬аNadeem composed all the songs. But thatтАЩs not true. Shravan┬аBhai┬аwas an exceptionally talented musician. But yes, Nadeem┬аwould do most of the composing, while┬аShravan┬аBhai┬аwould arrange the tunes. He was a very fine musician and an even better human being. When he entered the room you felt you were in the company of a saint. I wish he had not gone to the┬аKumbh┬аMela.тАЭ
