Vettaiyan, is the investigative thriller, directed by TJ Gnanavel, released in theatres today, October 10. The film features Rajinikanth in the leading role, along with Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati among others in pivotal roles. Produced by Lyca Productions, this Tamil film has unfortunately fallen victim to piracy. The synopsis of Vettaiyan reads: “Athiyan is Superintendent of Police of Kanyakumari district and a renowned encounter specialist. With the assistance of Patrick, a thief turned informer, he has solved several cases by eliminating criminals. Following a tip-off from government schoolteacher Saranya, about drugs being stashed in her school, Athiyan eliminates the drug mafia in the district. Later when Saranya is raped and murdered in Chennai, Athiyan must solve the case and punish the perpetrator.”
