Tamil star Karthi is joining hands with director Nalan Kumarasamy on an upcoming action-comedy film titled Vaa Vaathiyaar. Rumours of their collaboration have been in the news for the past few days, and on Wednesday (November 13), the makers unveiled a teaser for the upcoming film. Studio Green, who bankrolled Vaa Vaathiyaar, dropped the trailer just a day before the release of their biggie, Kanguva, starring Karthi’s elder brother Suriya. Karthi’s Policeman in ‘Vaa Vaathiyaar’ Is a Vibe
The one-minute thirty-five-second trailer of Vaa Vaathiyaar, released on Think Music India’s YouTube channel, begins with the introduction of Karthi’s character. The Tamil star plays a cheerful cop who appears to be a favourite among the people in his town. He could be seen dancing and vibing with them. The trailer then shows glimpses of various characters in the film, including Krithi Shetty, Sathyaraj, Shilpa Manjunath, Anand Raj, and Rajkiran. The latter part features Karthi in some action sequences before returning to a scene where he dances with the crowd. Vaa Vaathiyaar marks the first ever collaboration of Karthi and Nalan Kumarasamy. The movie is bankrolled by KE Gnanavelraja under Studio Green. The teaser could be played in the theatres along with Suriya’s Kanguva which hits the big screens on November 14. Santhosh Narayanan scores the music for the film, while George C Williams takes on the cinematography. More details regarding the film are awaited. A release date is yet to be announced for Vaa Vaathiyaar.
