Dehradun, October 23: Ahead of the Diwali festival, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved the payment of salaries and pensions to state employees, pensioners, and family pensioners, according to an official statement. A government order regarding this, issued by Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan on Wednesday, has been addressed to all department heads, District Magistrates, the Director of Treasury, Pension and Entitlement, and all senior treasury officers.

The statement clarified that due to the Diwali festival on 31 October 2024, the payment of salaries for state employees, employees of aided educational and technical institutions, urban local bodies, and those in charge, as well as pensions and family pensions for October 2024, will be made before 30 October 2024.
