The prominent leaders in the list include, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav, party’s Rajya Sabha MP Ram Gopal Yadav, party’s Jaswantnagar MLA Shivpal Yadav.

Nine of the ten vacant assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh will go to polls on November 13, except Milkipur of Ayodhya district. Meanwhile, the Congress party has announced that it has decided not to field candidates in the nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh where bypolls are being held, said Congress in-charge Avinash Pandey on Thursday.

Addressing a press conference here, Avinash Pandey said, “The Congress has decided not to field candidates in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh bypolls and has announced its support for the Samajwadi Party (SP) in UP.” The nine assembly seats where bypolls are being held are Meerapur, Kundarki, Khair, Karhal, Phulpur, and Katehari. The counting of votes is scheduled for November 23.
