NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that the Union budget for 2022-23 will play a key role in implementing New Education Policy on the ground.
PM Modi while addressing a webinar on the positive impacts of the Union budget on education said that a lot of emphases has been laid on five things related to the education sector.
” Focus is on universalization of quality education, development of digital skilling ecosystem, urban planning and design; internationalisation to build world-class universities and AVGC industry,” PM said.
We are working on enhancing digital connectivity that will increase inclusion, integration and reduce digital divide, PM added.
PM said that India has witnessed a steady decrease in the digital divide ensuring inclusion and integration of the nation.
PM Modi also stressed how today’s generation are the future leaders of the country.
“They are the nation builders of the tomorrow. Empowering them means empowering India’s future,” he added.
Aiming to empower the citizens to skill, reskill or upskill through online training, the PM mentioned about the launch of the Digital Ecosystem for Skilling and Livelihood – the DESH-Stack e- portal.
Meanwhile, PM said that National Digital University is an unprecedented announcement in this year’s budget.
PM emphasised how with its world-class approach, it will further boost learning & re-learning for the 21st century.
“Infrastructure development like E-vidhya, One Class One Channel, Digital Labs and the Digital University will ensure education for all,” he added.
