American debutant Terrance McKinney bizarrely injured himself while celebrating the fastest lightweight victory in UFC history.
Lightweight fighter Terrance McKinney announced himself to the UFC world on Sunday, securing a remarkable seven-second knockout victory on debut.
The 26-year-old American toppled opponent Matt Fevola with a quick jab and cross in Glendale’s Gila River Arena, the bout ending with a flurry of hammerfists.
It broke the record for fastest lightweight victory in UFC history.

But McKinney’s post-fight celebration went astray, with the fighter injuring his knee after climbing over the Octagon’s caging.
“I’m feeling great and just want to give glory to God. It’s just an honour to be here,” McKinney said.
“I just trusted in my coach and listened to what he had to see and am really happy with the result.
“I knew he was going to come out. He likes to come out and come swinging and be wild.”
Later in the main card, New Zealand phenom Israel Adesanya will defend his middleweight title against Italy’s Marvin Vettori.
Australian UFC fighter Alex Volkanovski predicted a third-round finish to the highly-anticipated bout.
“Because on the feet, Izzy will be too much for him,” Volkanovski insisted.
“Vettori, he’s tough. And he will definitely bring plenty, will make it ugly.
“But Izzy will just pick him off.
“Izzy’s take-down defence is so much better now than back then.
“He will be too much for Vettori.”
Meanwhile, UFC flyweight champion Davieson Figueiredo will defend his belt against Mexico’s Brandon Moreno.
The main card will kick off at 12pm AEST, while the Adesanya vs Vettori bout is expected to take place at approximately 1:30pm
