Violet the greyhound’s adorable reaction to getting her own bed

A rescue greyhound who spent her whole life locked in a kennel had the sweetest reaction to receiving her very first bed.

Violet, a three-year-old sighthound, was taken into foster care by Natasha Langdridge, where she was given a name, her first bed and finally, her forever home.

Natasha, from Tasmania, Australia, said: “The minute she walked in our door we knew she was meant to stay with us forever! It was like love at first sight.”

Violet had been purchased for greyhound racing, but was never raced and spent her entire life locked away in a kennel.

Natasha added: “Violet has just turned three years old – she came to us as a foster from Brightside Farm Sanctuary. “She’s had no socialisation – she never even had a name.”

In a video posted to their TikTok account, Hausofhounds, Violet – wearing a rainbow jumper that says ‘Free Hugs’ – drags her bed into the lounge before excitedly rolling around all over it.

It’s since racked up over 30,000 views and nearly 200 comments praising how sweet it is.
