According to The Lott, the three winning entries were from NSW, Victoria and Western Australia and they split the $160 million prize я╗┐pool, giving them more than $53 million each.
The Lott said the Victoria division one winner was a blue collar worker from Clyde who struggled to hold back tears when officials broke the news to him.
“Oh my god, oh my god. I can’t believe this,” the man said, according to the Lott.
“Far out. I’m absolutely speechless.
“I never thought I’d get this phone call. This has changed my life.
“I can’t wait to tell my family.
“My family is set. My grandson wanted a dog for Christmas and I was trying to organise it for him. He can have all the dogs in the world now.”
The man said he would be quitting work after the “mind-blowing” news.
“I’m done with work. I’m out of here, mate. Retirement is calling,” he said.
“This is absolutely mind blowing.
“Thank you so much, mate.
“I think I’m in shock, but this is incredible.”
The NSW winner purchased their ticket in Penrith. The Lott provided no extra details about the Western Australian winner.
Another 42 entries picked up big wins in division two, raking in about $77,000я╗┐ each.
