A three-month-old baby girl has died after being attacked by a dog at a home in Ireland.
The girl was said to have been mauled in the early hours of Monday morning at a property in County Waterford.
The three-month-old was attacked at a house in the village of Clashmore, near Youghal, the Irish Mirror reports.
Emergency services rushed the little girl to Cork University Hospital after she suffered serious injuries.
The baby girl was tragically pronounced dead at around 3.15am.
A post mortem examination is set to be carried out.

Authorities in Ireland have not yet released any further detail about the tragedy.
A Garda statement said gardai were investigating all the circumstances of the incident.
Fr Milo Guiry, who is administrator of the parish that encompasses the village of Clashmore, said local people were in shock.
“This was a young baby, it’s terribly, terribly sad,” he said.
Fr Guiry said the parish would be offering support to the family involved.
“We offer our sympathy and our support to the family at this terrible time for them,” he said.
