Crowds dressed in their brightest colours began their march just after 7am, which celebrates the 45th anniversary of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
The city has become a hive of activity this weekend, after thousands flocked to the triple show extravaganza featuring Harry Styles, the Backstreet Boys and Taiwanese singer Jay Chou last night.

Motorists who need to travel north to south are being told to allow plenty of extra time as traffic will be heavy.
The Sydney Harbour Bridge and Cahill Expressway are shut to traffic from 4am to 11.30am.

The Pride March begins at North Sydney and ends at the Domain and Hyde Park.
Public transport travel to and from the Pride March has been made even easier with the cost of transport included in event tickets.
“Attendees just need to show their event ticket or Pride March wristband to Transport for NSW staff when boarding services,” Transport for NSW Chief Operations Officer Howard Collins said.
“For Pride March participants, trains will run frequently to North Sydney station which is a short walk from the start area.”
Buses will terminate on each side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in North Sydney and the CBD during the duration of the Pride March but trains will still be running.
Oxford Street remains closed between Flinders Street and Liverpool Street in Darlinghurst until 4:30am tomorrow for a Sydney WorldPride street party.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area or be prepared for delays on detour routes through Kings Cross and Surry Hills including William Street and Cleveland Street.
Buses are also diverting around the road closures in Darlinghurst until 4:30am tomorrow.
WorldPride comes to an end
The WorldPride Closing Ceremony will see celebrations come to an end after 17 days in Sydney.
There will be DJs and performances by Ava Max, Kim Petras, MUNA, Keiynan Lonsdale, G Flip, Peach PRC, Alter Boy, BVT, and Vetta Borne.
It will all be kicking off from 3pm in the Domain.
Oxford Street will be transformed into a street party with free performances by Australian talents including Vassy, and Chela today.
Bondi Beach was a sea of colour on Saturday night when the beach became a club dance floor.
The one-night-only event featured a range of Australian DJs, as well as international pop star Nicole Scherzinger performing on the make-shift stage on the sand.
Around 15,000 people attended the packed event.
Closures and clearways for Pride Villages on Riley Street, Crown Street and surrounding local roads remain in place until 4.30am Monday.

It comes after a bumper crowd headed to Olympic Park’s Accor Stadium for the final Harry Styles concert on Saturday.

Taiwanese singer Jay Chou performed at Giants Stadium at Sydney Showground, not far from Olympic Park, on Saturday night.
The venue has a capacity of 24,000.
