Queensland Chief Health Officer Dr John Gerrard says the lack of hospitalised COVID patients who are significantly sick shows the vaccines are working.
This comes as the state recorded 784 new cases, with only four reported COVID patients in hospital.
тАЬThe numbers of patients that are in hospital sick suggests strongly that these vaccines are working,тАЭ Dr Gerrard said during a media conference on Monday.
тАЬIt is quite striking.тАЭ
He said, however, it is still critical for people to get their third dose when it is available to them.
тАЬParticularly older people and people who may have some impairment of their immunity.тАЭ
