Mumbai, October 5:┬аIn a horrific incident that took place in Thane, a teenager allegedly stabbed a man for staring at him “angrily”. The alleged incident occurred on Tuesday, October 3, after the duo had an argument two days ago in Ulhasnagar. After the incident came to light, the teenager was arrested for stabbing the 30-year-old man in his stomach. Police officials said that the accused fled from the spot after stabbing the man and without removing the knife from his stomach.
According to a report in the Hindustan Times, the victim has been identified as Nitesh Walekar, a resident of Ulhasnagar Camp No. 3. Police officials said that two days before the incident, the 17-year-old accused was riding his bike rashly when Walekar stared at him and later scolded him for driving rashly. Teen Stabs Man After Argument
On October 3, Nitesh was standing with his friends near a sandwich shop adjacent to a college on Ulhasnagar railway station road. Around the same time, the teenager arrived with a companion and started an argument with Nitesh. “The boy took out a knife and stabbed Nitesh near his chest and fled from the spot before anyone else could nab him,” a police official said.
While the accused stabbed Nitesh, he did not remove the knife from his gut and fled. Nitesh was immediately rushed to a private hospital nearby, where the doctors removed the knife from his body after a 20-hour surgery. After the police were alerted, they sent a team to arrest the accused. The accused was arrested on Wednesday morning. The police have registered a case against the teenager under section 307 (attempt to murder) and other sections of the Indian Penal Code. An officer said the teenager wanted to teach the victim a lesson for allegedly staring at him angrily.
