Tesla investor Sawyer Merritt (@SawyerMerritt) shared the news on October 1, 2024, revealing that the US District Judge, Araceli Martínez-Olguín, found no grounds for the shareholders’ claims. The lawsuit accused Tesla of overstating its self-driving capabilities like drivers could “go to sleep” in their car by 2020. “Plaintiffs fail to connect Musk’s hands-on management with any information that he allegedly learned rendering his statements false or misleading,” Judge Martínez-Olguín wrote.
