New Delhi, May 14: Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, is reportedly rehiring some of the employees from the Supercharger team who were recently laid off as part of a larger plan to cut costs at the electric vehicle company.

As per a report of Yahoo Finance, Elon Musk likely to bring back a portion of employees from Tesla’s Supercharger team who were laid off last month. Tesla recently announced layoffs, with the Supercharger team being impactedWhile cost savings were cited as the primary reason but the Supercharger network generates an important portion of the company’s revenues. Despite the layoffs, the Supercharger network remains a major achievement for Tesla in the electric vehicle industry.

De Zegher, Tesla North America’s director of charging was also laid off by the company. The layoffs affected nearly 500 employees of Tesla’s Supercharger team. As of now, the exact number of employees who have been rehired by Tesla remains unknown. The company has not provided specific details regarding the details of the rehiring process or the criteria used to determine which individuals would be brought back into the team.
