NEW DELHI: A high-stakes campaign has preceded the November 3 bypoll to the Munugode assembly seat in Telangana, which is witnessing a three-cornered fight among TRS, BJP and Congress.
As per Part I of model code, all parties and candidates shall scrupulously avoid all activities which are “corrupt practices” such as bribing, intimidation and impersonation of voters, besides canvassing within 100m of polling stations, etc.
“You are directed to clarify the position and status covering all aspects as mentioned in the representation (from TRS) about alleged transaction purported to be done to induce voters in 93-Munugode AC, on or before October 31, 2022, 4 pm to enable the commission to take appropriate decision,” EC principal secretary Avinash Kumar said in a communication to Reddy.
