The three girls – aged 12, 13 and 14 – were charged after the 13-year-old girl was allegedly held against her will, punched and stabbed in an hours-long ordeal at a home in Tewantin, near Noosa Heads in Queensland, on March 11.
Footage uploaded to social media resulted in mass outrage and widespread anger in the state.
Police now say one of the alleged offenders, the 14-year-old, has also been charged with a second attack that played out on a bus six days earlier.
Footage appears to show the girl repeatedly punch and hit another teenager on the bus alongside two other girls.
The alleged incident took place on March 5 in Noosaville and is still under investigation.
Police say they won’t ruling out charging more people.
The two younger girls from the March 11 incident have been released from custody but the14-year-old remains behind bars and is due to appear in court next month.
This morning, the sister of the 13-year-old victim told 9News her sibling was recovering “really well” after the ordeal.
The victim’s sister, who remains unnamed for legal reasons, said her “strong” sister is on the road to recovery.
“I saw her two nights ago and she was having a laugh,” she said in a phone interview with Today.
“We are all just giving her love and just trying to build her back up.
“(She’s) doing really well. Everybody is supporting her. She has been given so much love.
“She is a very strong girl.”
The sister added that the family is in shock over the alleged assault.
