In a concerning incident at Chennai Airport, smoke was seen emanating from the tail of a Dubai-bound Emirates flight just before its scheduled departure. The flight, carrying 280 passengers, was in the refuelling process around 9:40 PM last night, September 24, when the smoke prompted immediate action from ground staff, who alerted the pilots. To prevent further escalation, the pilots swiftly shut down the engines. Firefighters quickly arrived on the scene, managing to bring the situation under control without any injuries reported. An Emirates spokesperson later confirmed that the flight EK547 was delayed due to a technical fault and underwent an engineering inspection.
