Chennai, June 10: A shocking incident of rape has come to light from Tamil Nadu, where a school-going girl was allegedly raped by two men who spiked her drink with the help of a woman. The alleged rape incident occurred last month during a birthday party in Saligramam. The accused have been identified as Pratisha Akira and her two friends, Somesh and Williams.

According to a report in the Times of India, the incident came to light on Friday, June 7, after the 15-year-old victim suffered abdominal pain. Following this, the victim told her sister about the alleged assault, who took her to the police and lodged a complaint. Acting on the girl’s family’s complaint, the police arrested Akira and her friend Somesh. Victim Raped at Birthday Party After Woman Spikes Her Drink

According to the complaint, the Class 11 student met Pratisha Akira at a coffee shop in Anna Nagar and later became friends. In May, Akira invited the victim to her birthday party at her apartment in Saligramam. Cops said that Somesh and Williams spiked the victim’s drink, due to which she fell unconscious after drinking it. Later, the duo raped the schoolgirl.

Accused Woman Threatens Victim, Warns of Harm

The next day when the minor girl woke up, she realised she had been raped. Police officials said that Akira threatened the victim not to reveal the incident to anyone. The victim also told cops that Akira warned that her friends would harm her if she complained to the police. Meanwhile, cops have launched a manhunt to nab Williams, the third accused in the case. During preliminary investigation, cops found that Akira is a junior artist in films while her friend Somesh is a college student. Both Somesh and Williams are said to be in their twenties.
