The reviews for Taaza Khabar Season 2 are pouring in, and critics are sharing their thoughts! Bhuvan Bam is back as the clever Vasya Gawde, but this time, he faces off against the fierce Jaaved Jaaferi in the role of the ruthless Yusuf Akhtar. With a stellar lineup featuring Shriya Pilgaonkar, Prathamesh Parab, and others, the stakes have never been higher. Vasya’s once-bright fortune has taken a serious hit, leaving him drowning in a staggering debt of 1000 crores to Yusuf. Has his blessing morphed into a curse? ‘Taaza Khabar’ Season 2 Trailer: Bhuvan Bam’s Vasant Faces Off Against Jaaved Jaaferi in This Thrilling Disney+ Hotstar Show (Watch Video).

The six episodes promise a whirlwind of emotions and unexpected twists. Will this season truly live up to the hype? Read the review below to find out more!

Hindustan Times: The conceit has run its course by now but the there are still six episodes to find new taaza khabar notifications to elongate the narrative a little more. The writing is extremely derivative and seems to run in the same circles of new plan, but bigger flops in execution where someone gets killed. There are no consequences whatsoever. The police is sleeping, there is no investigation on the crimes, no one bats an eyelid, and the city of Mumbai is as non-existent in its fabric as ever. Vasant seems to learn nothing, so it is best that his audience does not mind asking either. New taaza khabar update, new plan! Bhuvan has natural screen presence as an actor but he can barely add any impact to a scene when it demands so less from him. His actions begin to feel too repetitive and juvenile after a point. Taaza Khabar loves a new trick, a new set-piece, a new resolution. But there’s nothing taaza about any of these parts. The show needs a much-needed update for its own good, just like the app.

Scroll. In: Season two has returned to Disney+ Hotstar with the same pointlessness that greets the question “Did Vasant really die?” Written by Aziz Dalal, Hussain Dalal and Abbas Dalal and directed by Himank Gaur, Taaza Khabar’s new outing reeks of staleness and the unshakeable feeling of luck having run out. A very-much-alive Vasant (Bhuvan Bam) spends six wearying episodes trying to pay off the underworld don Yusuf (Jaaved Jafferi). To make a gargantuan demand even gargantuaner, Yusuf keeps upping Vasant’s debt – 100 crore! 500 crore! 1,000 crore! – just for the fun of it.  The new characters include the politician Smita (Gauri Pradhan Tejwani), who by showing Yusuf his place only reinforces his bluster. The talented Jaaved Jafferi is wasted as the borderline farcical Yusuf, just as the rest of the cast has little new to offer.

ABP: Taaza Khabar Season 2 is an entertaining watch. Bhuvan Bam is the heart of the series, and his massive fan following is sure to boost its popularity. Through this show, Bhuvan proves that content creators can also be great actors. However, this might not apply to all creators. The series incorporates all the elements you would find in a typical Hindi movie, spread across six episodes, each about 35 minutes long. The story progresses at a decent pace, though the occasional love story subplot feels unnecessary and could have been trimmed. The scenes between Bhuvan and Javed Jaffrey are the highlight of the series, while Bhuvan’s emotional moments with his on-screen parents tug at the heartstrings. Overall, the series is worth watching, though the first season was slightly better due to its fresh concept. Despite that, Season 2 still holds up as a strong sequel. Taaza Khabar Season 2 Teaser: Bhuvan Bam Returns as Vasya in the Second Season of The Series (Watch Video).

‘Taaza Khabar’ Season 2 Trailer

TimesNow: While Bam is more confident as Vasya in this season, he lacks the heft in the more emotional scenes of the show. Towards the last few episodes, that is required more of him. Supriya Pilgaonkar as Madhu, the sex worker that he has loved from the beginning, shows real heart in her performance. Deven Bhojani as former cafe owner Mehboob is sincere, and his bond with his onscreen daughter Shazia, played by Nithya Mathur, is genuine. Jaaferi, as the new addition to the season, starts off strong, but his character goes up and down with his intentions towards Vasya, giving the actor not much to play with.As a series, Taaza Khabar is a cautionary tale about greed. This, combined with its premise of seeing into the future, had real potential. But the series doesn’t take many bold leaps with basis. It remains safe; if it comes back for another season, Taaza Khabar should aim higher.

Now you’re up to speed on how Bhuvan Bam and Jaaved Jaaferi’s Taaza Khabar has performed. The second season premiered on September 27, and now it’s up to the audience to decide: will you tune in or give it a miss?
