Sunshine Coast hinterland plane crash: Two dead in Peachester

Two men have died in a plane crash in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast hinterland.

A search was launched when the men failed to arrive at Maroochydore airport as expected about 5.30pm on Wednesday.

Police said the plane crashed in bushland along Commissioners Flat Road in Peachester and was discovered about 8.30pm.

The men on board, aged 46 and 30, were found dead at the scene.

Police said the forensic crash unit would help the Australian Transport Safety Bureau investigate.
