Sudden Rain Damages Garlic Produce Kept In Mandi (WATCH)

Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh): Garlic worth thousands of rupees was damaged at Mandsaur’s Krishi Upaj Mandi when an unexpected heavy downpour struck the district on Friday afternoon.

Farmers watched helplessly as their market-ready garlic stocks began flowing with the rainwater, forcing them to scramble for emergency measures to protect the crop during the twenty-minute deluge.

The sudden rainfall, which affected multiple regions like Kayampur, Daloda Pipaliyamandi, Malhargarh and Suwasra, was accompanied by hailstorms in rural areas like Digao Malya. The widespread precipitation caused chaos in the agricultural market, with farmers reporting significant financial losses due to damage to their unprotected produce.

Beyond the immediate impact on market produce, the weather system triggered a sharp drop in temperature across the district, intensifying cold conditions and causing residents to shiver. The unseasonable weather particularly affected areas like Kayampur, Daloda Pipaliyamandi, Malhargarh, and Suwasra, where the sudden shift from normal conditions caught the community unprepared.
