Hail and heavy rain caused the collapse of a structure covering a historic temple in Mexico City on April 28. This footage, by Gabriel Gutierrez Garc├нa, shows the damaged structure over the site of the 14th century Templo Mayor, which was the main temple of the Mexica people when Mexico City was known as Tenochtitlan. A museum at the site has operated since 1987. MexicoтАЩs culture secretary, Alejandra Frausto, said the ancient site appeared to have escaped serious damage, according to an early assessment. A team from the National Institute of Anthropology and History was investigating. A police officer was treated at the scene. Credit: Gabriel Guti├йrrez Garc├нa via Storyful
