Firefighters continued to battle wildfires in northern Algeria, footage posted on August 13 shows. El Khabar said on August 13 that emergency crews had extinguished 76 fires across the country within a 24-hour period. At least 70 people have died in the wildfires, including 28 soldiers deployed to help extinguish the blazes, according to local news.
