Reportedly, the Bollywood superstar will also be joined by Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma. Initially, Shah Rukh Khan was supposed to play a cameo, but he will now portray the lead protagonist. Siddharth Anand will produce King under his production banner, Marflix Pictures. As per the latest reports, the shooting for the highly anticipated action thriller will commence in January next year in Mumbai followed by a marathon schedule in Europe. King is expected to hit the big screens on Eid 2026.

2. ‘Pathaan 2’
Shah Rukh Khan will be returning as Pathaan sooner than we can expect. Recently, in a podcast with Cyrus Broacha, renowned screenwriter Abbas Tyrewala revealed that the script for Pathaan 2 is nearly complete. SRK is all set to reprise his role as RAW agent Pathaan in this highly anticipated sequel, which will be a part of YRF’s expanding Spy Universe, which also includes Salman Khan’s Tiger, Hrithik Roshan’s War and Alia Bhatt’s upcoming Alpha. SRK will begin shooting for Pathaan 2 by the end of next year or early 2026.

While SRK is busy with his action films King and Pathaan 2, reports suggest that King Khan might join hands with Sharrdha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 director Amar Kaushik for a light-hearted film.
