Manahawkin was under a severe thunderstorm watch, as were other parts of New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Washington, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia until 8 pm Wednesday, per the National Weather Service.
