Several batches of JSHealth Vitamins’ Detox + Debloat tablets recalled

Supplement firm JSHealth Vitamins is recalling ten batches of its “Detox + Debloat” tablets because product’s label does not include necessary warning statements.

Issued via the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), the recall urges all pregnant or breastfeeding women with an affected bottle to stop using the tablets immediately as it contains fennel seed extract, which may not safe.

Under Australian law any listed medicine that contains fennel seed extract is required to include three warnings urging the groups mentioned above to avoid the product.

“A recent TGA investigation found these warnings are not included on the labels of some batches of Detox + Debloat,” the TGA said in the recall.

The batch numbers affected are: B23434, B23441, B23462, B23463, B23485, B211091, B211111, B211161, B211231 and B211341.

Anyone with a bottle is urged to check the batch number.

“There is a chemical component in fennel seeds that may not be safe for pregnant or breast-feeding women and is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.”

Consumers with with an affected product have been advised to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or contact JSHealth Vitamins customer service on +61-(0)405-802-877, 9:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

No other batches of Detox + Debloat are being recalled at this time.
