The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday, October 3, arrested Dr Ashish Pandey in the case of financial irregularities at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College, sources said. As per the news agency PTI, Ashish Pandey is linked to the Trinamool Congress (TMC) youth wing. Pandey has been accused of assisting Dr. Sandip Kumar Ghosh, the former principal of the college.
