Agency CEO sells mum’s flat for $6.55m in two days
It was marketed by Nic Yates and Kingsley Yates, of The Agency North, and had been due to go to auction later this month.
Nic Yates would not comment on the sale price, but said there had been massive interest in the stunning property.
He said they fielded almost 300 inquiries in the 10 days before the property sold. The home is set over three levels brimming with elegant finishes, modern luxuries, and surrounded by landscaped gardens, a pool and cabana.
Features include a marble kitchen with Miele appliances, Subzero fridge and butler’s pantry, massive main bedroom with study, ensuite, balcony and walk-in robe, billiard room/home theatre/music room, and loggia with barbecue. The home also has harbour views and a four-car garage.
“We had 75 buyers through the home in 10 days,” Mr Yates said.
“There wasn’t a part of the home that people didn’t love. It’s an utterly amazing property, and
perfect for families.”
Mr Yates said the buyer was from the upper north shore.
He said there was huge demand for properties of this calibre, and buyers were unlikely to cool their heels over winter, making it a great time to sell.
“Seasonal selling is a very very old fashioned way of thinking,” he said.
“There’s no stock at the moment and very strong demand so there is no need to wait if you are thinking about selling. We also have a lot of expats who are looking to buy.”
