RCMP are investigating a fire at a┬аchurch on┬аSipekne’katik First Nation.
Spokesperson Cpl. Chris Marshall said Indian Brook RCMP as well as the local fire department were dispatched to the church on Main Street at 4:20 a.m. local time.
As of 9:45 a.m., Marshall said he didn’t know whether the fire was still active.
“Once the fire is out and the scene has been determined to be safe, our members will take over and work with the fire department and potentially the fire marshal’s office to try to determine┬аa┬аcause of the fire as to whether or not it was suspicious or something else.”
