Ratan Tata death updates: Ratan Tata cremated with full state honours in Mumbai

On behalf of the Singapore Airlines Board and Management, Singapore CEO Goh Choon Phong expressed their condolences on the passing of Mr. Ratan Tata. 

“Mr. Tata was a visionary global business leader, as well as a cherished partner and dear friend. He played a pivotal role in setting up our Vistara joint venture over a decade ago, laying the foundation for a strong and enduring relationship between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines. Vistara quickly established itself as India’s most-loved full-service airline.” he said in a statement. 

“I had the privilege of knowing Mr. Tata personally and catching up with him during my many visits to India. His wisdom, integrity, warmth, and compassion left an indelible impression on me and all those who had the honour of meeting him,” he added. 

Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines are collaborating on the Vistara and Air India merger, “inspired by Mr. Tata’s legacy and vision”. “His vision and values will no doubt continue to guide our path forward,” he said. 

The CEO expressed their thoughts are with the Tata family and the entire Tata Group during this challenging time.
