Hours after the deadly inferno on Jaipur-Ajmer highway, Rajasthan govt Friday announced a Rs 2,350 crore initiative to improve blackspots across state. CM Bhajan Lal Sharma directed state PWD to focus on improving condition of blackspots to prevent future accidents. Sharma also ordered strict action against those who fail to meet prescribed standards for road construction and repair works. A govt statement issued on Friday said NHAI is working to repair 176 blackspots in state at an estimated cost of Rs 650 crore.
