Raipur, July 26: In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old woman in Chhattisgarh’s tribal region gave birth to four babies on July 25. All four babies, two boys and two girls, are reported to be healthy. Initially, sonography had indicated a triplet pregnancy, so the arrival of four babies came as a surprise. The weight of three children is two kilos, while the weight of one child is one and a half kilos. Both the mother and her newborns are currently receiving care at Bansal Hospital in Jagdalpur.
The mother, Dasmi Kawasi, is the third wife of Hidma Kavasi, a resident of Sukma district. Dasmi was admitted to a hospital in Jagdalpur on Tuesday evening due to labour pains. Hidma mentioned that this is his third wife. His first wife, Hungi, had a daughter who passed away 15 years ago due to illness. The daughter was studying in the 9th grade. On Wednesday, July 24, a team of doctors examined his wife, Dasmi Kavasi. On Thursday, July 25, sonography was conducted, and the doctors initially reported that there were three babies. However, when the operation was performed in the evening, four babies were born. The doctors were also surprised to see four babies delivered at once.
