Speaking at the event, PM Modi said, “Karnataka has always been a land of innovation and technology. The manufacturing of drones and Tejas aircrafts is already being done in the state. We are slowly becoming self-dependent as assault rifles, aircraft carriers, and fighter jets are being manufactured by India.”

PM Modi also said that industries around Tumakuru area will give a boost to the country’s economy and said that they are focusing on the connectivity between industrial towns. “Creating a connectivity between industrial areas is as important as building them. We are focusing on improving connectivity between Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai and many projects are already going on. Huge number of employment opportunities will be created and it is a blessing to the country’s economy”

He also took a swipe at the opposition parties for spreading misinformation on the HAL. “Misinformation was spread about HAL and many false allegations were made against our government. Many working hours of the Parliament were wasted over it. HAL’s Helicopter Factory and its rising power is an answer to those who levelled false allegations.
