A sixth-alarm fire at a Phoenix, Arizona, recycling plant prompted Phoenix Fire Department’s largest response in history on June 5, the department said. More than 200 firefighters from 10 different agencies worked to control the fire, the department said. One firefighter was taken to hospital with a leg injury, local media reported, citing officials. Arizona residents reported seeing smoke from the fire miles away. The National Weather Service shared an animation showing the large plume of smoke generated by the fire.
