According to the reports, Oviya Helen filed the complaint at the Thrissur police station in Kerala. It was revealed that Oviya also disclosed the details of the perpetrator to the concerned officials. The person behind the leak was identified as Thariq, a former friend of the actress, who sought revenge on her after she distanced herself from him due to his behavior. Angered by Oviya’s decision, Thariq released the manipulated video on the internet.
Oviya shared another concerning detail about Thariq and said that he had more morphed photos and videos of several other women, even highlighting his revengeful behaviour. Several videos of a woman resembling Oviya in a compromising position went viral on social media platforms, majorly on X (previously Twitter). The woman in the video had a tattoo similar to that of Oviya on her left shoulder sparking more speculations about the authenticity of the clip.
