Mumbai, August 15: Indian electric scooter manufacturer Ola launched the Ola S1X on the wonderful occasion of Independence Day. We previously covered the launch date and expected features of Ola S1X. Now that the scooter has officially launched, we do have more concrete details in our hands.

Ola S1X- Variants and Price
For electric scooters to succeed, they had to overcome many challenges. One such major challenge is the price. Electric bikes could have been more affordable. The company has understood this issue and has acted on it with the release of Ola S1X.
The Ola S1X comes in two variants- one with a 2 kWh battery and the other with a 3 kWh battery. Interestingly, both of them are priced below Rs 1 lakh. The smaller battery-sized variant is priced at Rs 79,999 till August 21, following which it will be priced at Rs 89,999. Similarly, the 3 kWh battery variant comes at a price tag of Rs 89,999 till August 21, following which it will be available at Rs 99,999.
Ola S1X- Specifications and Features
Ola S1X’s smaller battery-sized variant has a claimed range of 91 km. On the other hand, its bigger battery variant’s claimed range is 151 km. The scooter’s top speed is 90 km/hr. It has a 3.5-inch segmented display with steel rims instead of alloy wheels.
The Ola S1X will require a physical key to unlock and will come without intelligent connectivity features, contrary to what the reports suggested. Also, the scooter will have drum brakes and not disc ones. It has a 34l boot space, where users can keep some of their belongings. It comes in a multi-colour design, which makes it even more stunning to look at.
