Ola Electric Says ‘Resolved 99.1% of 10,644 Complaints Lodged With CCPA’ Amid Social Media Feud

Mumbai, October 22: Ola Electric Mobility has announced that it has successfully resolved 99.1% of the 10,644 complaints lodged with the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA). The company shared this update in a regulatory filing on Monday evening, October 21. Ola Electric also confirmed that it has provided detailed responses to a show cause notice issued by the CCPA.

In the filing, Ola Electric emphasised, “Out of 10,644 complaints received from the CCPA, 99.1% were resolved to the complete satisfaction of the customer as per Ola Electric’s robust redressal mechanism.” The CCPA’s notice, issued on October 7, 2024, cited alleged violations of consumer rights, misleading advertisements, and unfair trade practices. Ola Electric has been given 15 days to formally respond to the notice. Bouncers at Ola Electric Service Centers? Comedian Kunal Kamra Raises Allegations on Bhavish Aggarwal, Says ‘Sales Team for Sales & Bouncers for After Sales’.

This development follows a public dispute between Ola founder Bhavish Agarwal and stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra on social media platform X. Kamra had raised concerns about the after-sales service quality of Ola Electric scooters, citing complaints from dissatisfied customers.

The exchange began when Agarwal responded to Kamra’s criticism regarding the condition of Ola electric scooters displayed outside what appeared to be an Ola dealership. Agarwal suggested that if Kamra genuinely cared about the scooters, he would gladly pay him to assist the company. Otherwise, the Ola CEO advised Kamra to “shut up” and allow Ola to address the “real customer issues.” The situation escalated into a series of posts, with each exchange intensifying the feud between Agarwal and Kamra, leading to a more heated confrontation as online users observed and weighed in. Ola Electric Shares Drop 3%, Close at INR 87.44 Apiece As EV Firm Faces Probe to Pricing Practices.

Public reactions to the Agarwal-Kamra dispute largely sided with Kamra, with many individuals claiming to be Ola customers supporting the comedian’s statements. Numerous netizens also criticised Agarwal for his impolite response to the complaints.
