Ola Electric announced it added 50,000 new members during this festive season. Bhavish Aggarwal’s EV firm thanked the customers who bought its electric scooters during Diwali. The company achieved the sale amid complaints about its electric scooters and poor services. Last month, Ola Electric complaints and videos of electric scooters catching fire outside a showroom in Bengaluru flooded social media. Amid these complaints, the company also lost its share prices significantly as it traded below the IPO price of INR 76. The Department of Consumer Affairs also started attending to customer complaints about poor service.
