Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): In an unexpected incident, two medical students reportedly were caught cheating and writing exams at a ‘dhaba’ in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior. The matter came to fore through a video captured by a passerby who scolded the students for using unfair means during exams.

In fact, the Gwalior-Chambal region is infamous for rampant cheating. However, the condition seems to worsen as now, the nursing students were caught openly taking their practical exams at a dhaba on the Gwalior-Morena highway.

‘College me jagah nahi hai kya?’

The video allegedly shows GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) students and also students of second and third year in aprons appearing for their practical exams outside the eatery.

In the video, a man can be heard scolding the students saying, “College me jagah nahi hai kya. Dhabe par exam kyun de rahe ho?… (Is your college running out of seats? Why are you taking the exam here? )”

The voice is said to be of District President of the Nursing Students’ Association Upendra Singh Gurjar, who uncovered the malpractice when he stumbled upon the scene while traveling from Morena to Gwalior.

Shockingly, these students were seen using notes and copies to cheat without any fear of being caught.

Nursing students to protest in Bhopal in 2 days

According to Gurjar, the cheating mafia has taken over nursing education not only in the Gwalior-Chambal region but across the state. With the alleged support of officials from Jabalpur Medical University, these mafias are tarnishing the reputation of nursing education and endangering the future of young aspirants while making hefty profits.

Upendra Singh Gurjar has strongly condemned this malpractice and announced a large-scale protest in Bhopal with nursing students in two days. He plans to submit a memorandum to the Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, demanding strict action against the cheating mafia and those enabling it.
