Police on Saturday arrested a male home nurse over the charge of assaulting an Alzheimer’s patient by undressing him and dragging him along the floor of the house. Police said Vishnu, 37, a native of Vilakkudy in Kollam, tortured Sasidharan Pillai, 60, a native of Thatta near Pandalam, on Thursday. Pillai is currently admitted in the ICU of a private hospital at Parumala. Pillai, who retired from BSF, has been bedridden for the last seven years. The family hired Vishnu through a recruiting agency over a month ago. Police took Vishnu into custody from the hospital at Parumala. tnn
