NSW lottery winner could be unaware of $30 million windfall

A single ticket bought in NSW has won tonight’s entire $30 million Powerball draw.

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1404 on Thursday, April 13, were 27, 33, 19, 29, 5, 12 and 15. The Powerball number was 4.

“It’s possible someone in NSW is going to sleep this evening completely unaware they won tonight’s entire $30 million Powerball jackpot and suddenly became Australia’s second-biggest lottery winner of 2023 to date,” officials from the Lott said.

In addition to the jackpot winner, more than $20.33 million was won in divisions two to nine in tonight’s draw.

Among those were two division two winners who each took home $281,829.15.

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said the $30 million ticket was bought online.

“We don’t have their complete contact details so we are unable to make a mind-blowing phone call to them this evening,” he said.

In 2022, 22 Powerball division one winning entries across Australia pocketed more than $764.39 million in prize money.
